On the 30th of May, 30 young Tunisian entrepreneurs gathered at Hotel Dar El Marsa’s to attend Startup MENA first workshop in Tunisia: The Go Global: Sales & Growth. The workshop targeted more mature startups ready to scale on the international market.

Alongside Startup MENA’s very own Sara Ottosen, the workshop was facilitated by Startupbootcamp mentor and expert trainer in international sales, Fil Guijarro. The workshop covered important insights and tools to customer development prior to providing specific sales techniques that the teams could apply instantly.

Fil Guijarro uncovered the essential roles of a sales team, provided a cold calling script and worked one-on-one with the teams to develop their sales value proposition.

Startup MENA had invited local partners and organisations to get insights to the workshop and we were lucky to receive two special guests: Nesrine Ben Slimane from Enpact and Alia Mahmoud from Microsoft Innovation Center.
The feedback from the teams were very positive, and the teams left content and eager for the upcoming Startup MENA Coffee meet-ups that will be hosted throughout 2015. The meetups will continue conversations and work with the teams to track their development and keep momentum until the next event in Tunis later in the year. The teams will furthermore join an online community to share knowledge across to each other and continue working with the sales techniques.
